Ontario PI Training Programs Launched

King-Reed partners with CSTMI to train private investigators

The Centre for Security Training & Management Inc. (CSTMI) is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with King-Reed & Associates Inc. to align resources and expertises and provide training programs to assist in the qualification of Private Investigators for the testing requirement recently mandated by the Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services.

CSTMI is a land mark training facility, with locations in Toronto, Ottawa and Hamilton, which has been specializing in professional protective service and security training for over 12 years.

King-Reed has been providing private investigation services for over 25 years with 11 full-service offices in Ontario with over 160 Private Investigators and is the senior partner in Investigations Canada, a national partnership of 31 offices with over 300 Private Investigators.

With the installment of the Ministry’s training and testing regulation, CSTMI and King-Reed’s joint force efforts have develop and delivered the mandated 50-hour private investigator training to new applicants who are looking at entering the field of private investigations, and a 16-hour refresher preparation course, for seasoned investigators to enhance their skill sets before writing their mandatory Ministry exam.

Being among the most recognized leaders in their fields of specialty, CSTMI and King-Reed is providing a unique blend of educational training and experience to meet the recent legislation changes enacted for Private Investigators.

The programs are being offered during the day, afternoons and weekends to meet the needs of investigators who are regulated under the PSISA. King-Reed’s subject matter experts are delivering “hands on” and “field experience” guided courses which coincide with the PSISB’s Curriculum Crosswalk. This training will be delivered by the Centre for Security Training & Management Inc. at the training centre locations and throughout the province as required.
